Thanksgiving

Hey everyone! How was your Thanksgiving? Ours was . . . unique :/ But it was really awesome! We actually went to our dads rig because he was working over this holiday. With the inconvenience of the itty bitty tiny oven in the rig shack, we made ham. But don't worry, when my dad gets off we will be having a big turkey thanksgiving with the yummy pumkin pie and stuffing. So if you think about it we actually get two big yummy thanksgiving meals. Except one of them is just with ham. Well, hope you all had a GREAT thanksgiving and ate alot of yummy food and spent time with family and friends!

Helping Allison

So today I helped my little sister, Allison, with her school. All I had to do was help her glue her a's onto a peice of construction paper. Well, lets see how it turned out :

Well, maybe the lower case 'a' is backwards. So? Okay, ya thats bad . . . I need to go back to kindergarten :P
How did I ever make it to the 8th grade?

Hello Again!

Hey every body! So now that the school year has started and I'm on more of a scheduale (kind of), I'll hopefully be blogging more! And I have to let you know that I have been trying to get into my blogger for the past few days and it HASN'T BEEN WORKING! But it is working now, so I guess I'm happy :)

So first of all, I'm just going to give you a quick update about every thing. First off, my little brother (who is going to be 5 months tomorrow) is the cutest thing EVER! It is snowy here, and we have been sledding down the hill next to our house. We have a little kitten that is cute but hisses at you when it feels like a human is getting in its personal space. We also have a mysterious cat that is orange/yellow and white that comes to our house when once in awhile. Our pet dear has not come into our yard since it snowed . . . sad :(  Across our road is a frozen over creek that we went skating on (in our boots . . . we don't have skates). And I am going to have to stop typing now before I bored you out of your mind, and I believe that at the beginning of this paragraph I was going to give you a "quick" update. Oops. :) See ya!

A new pet!

Hey guys! Just thought I'd let you know that the Paulson family (My family) has a new pet dear!!! Well, not litterally but it comes into our yard every morning and evening. She's actually gotten use to us now. I just took these pictures from only 15 feet away from her. So yay! Here's a picture.

I think she makes a wonderful pet . . .

The Microwave

I'm sure you all have a microwave. If not then this post will probably bored you out of your mind, but i'm going to write it anyway . . . sorry.

Well, the microve is an incredible, food heating, wonder of an invention rapped up into a tiny little box! Once you get over the whole, "I just burnt my finger while trying to get my dinner out of the microwave," or the "I just opened the microwave and the door hit me in the face" Kind of things, you'll find that the microwave is INCREDIBLE! I just made an amazing snack in it. I started with a potato (I now right, a potato) then after I finished making holes in it by stabbing it to death with a fork, I put it in the microwave, set the timer for five minutes, got through the scary sizzling and popping (I totally thought I was going to blow the house up) and then KAZAM! You've got yourself a buttery potato sitting in front of you waiting to be eaten. It was AMAZING!

So in conclusion, if your ever hungry, make yourself a baked potato in the microwave. It satisfies.

I can't think of a title

Ok, is it bad that I forgot that I was blogging again until I saw a comment in my email's inbox? Oops, sorry! I won't forget this time, I promise.

It's been a busy week. I did 3 days of school today trying to make up for the days we missed. Well, I'm caught up . . . Yay! We had gone to Minot one day and then the other we had friends over.

Levi is getting sooo big! I'd post pictures but I don't have time. I'll try in the next post. He is already 2 1/2 months. Crazy, right?

Sorry, there's really no particular subject to this blog post. It's kind of random . . . again. Well, that's all I've got to say. Bye!

We were playing head bands, she is a pig and I'm bacon.

And here is me and my besty, Andrina. We've been friends for about 13 years. We're both in the eighth grade. It's awesome!

Well, that's what I got for ya! Hope you guys had a good week!

Ps. Unless I post tomorrow, I won't be posting for another week or so because I have camp! Yay, so excited!

Style and Fashion

My favorite type of blogs to follow are fashion blogs. I don't really now why, they just are. So I thought I would put up a few fashion posts on this blog. But then I went to look at what I had in my closet and realized I really needed to earn some money and go shopping. But then I also realized that I'm not really the type of person to wear a dress every day. Maybe on occasions, but not every day. I also realized what my style was: Jeans and a T-shirt in the winter and shorts and a tank top in the summer, and I'm ok with that. I love style and fashion, and I know how to dress fashionable, but I'm more confertable in jeans and a Tee. So, whats your style?

Hello! I have some pictures that might be a little over due. I actually have no idea when I took them but I know it was a long time ago because, well, I don't even remember when I took them. Here they are!
Here is me, Hannah, Lydia, and my sis, Grace. We're all friends.

Quick Update

I'm sorry I havn't blogged in a while. It's been crazy busy around here. I still can't believe I have a new baby brother! He is so cute! He's also been keeping us busy. I'm not kidding when I say this but he is usually being held. He is rarely set down in his bouncy seat and swing. That's probably because he has six older sisters. Sorry to keep this post short. Got to go. Happy Saturday!

Toad!

Yesterday, we moved a whole bunch of old boards off the cement in our back yard, and underneith it there were like five toads. We only decided to bug one of them though. Poor guy. Here are some pictures:
Here's the toad. Do you see hime? Can't you just imagine him saying "AAAAAHHHHH I'm trying to get away from these mad humans but there's a pair of size 11 shoes in my way!"
OOOOHHHHH! Isn't he just da cutest wittle thing you've ever seen? I think I'll call him Fred!

Happy Fathers Day!

Good morning! Happy Fathers Day to all you fathers out there! Did you have a good week? Mine was the usual. You know, working on the yard (because my dads home!), riding bike, blogging, writing, ultimate frisbee, and so on. I am excited because by the end of the week, hopefully we'll have a new member of the family! I will get a picture of the baby when he's born and post it on this blog!

Sorry I didn't get a new story posted on my other blog like I said. I got half of it done! I didn't get the time to finish it, though. That blog won't have as many posts as this one because I won't have as much time to just sit down and write a story, if you know what I mean. I understand if you don't read the whole story, they can get kind of long. I try to do my best to keep them a good length.

Have a good Sunday!

He works at the rig for two weeks and then comes home for two weeks. Yesterday we were also busy planting flowers. My dad doesn't know we planted them, so it's all a surprise. Here are some pictures of the flowers:

I'll try to get an up close picture of a really pretty one later, but for now, I'll have to go. See ya!

I'm not doing monday challenges any more. sorry. I don't really like doing it because I can't ever think of any. I'm not going to do " do's and don'ts" any more either. I don't like having to do stuff certain days. I might do them once in a while, but not on certain days. Oh well, it was worth a try. don't worry, I'll keep up with my blog!

Bible verse

Happy Sunday! Here's a bible verse from Psalms 128:1

Blessed is he who fears the lord,
                                       Who walks in his ways!

Short, but good. Have a wonderful day!

50th Post!

This is my 50th post here on Just Thoughtful. I, personally, am excited. You? Well, I don't really have anything else to say so . . . I'm going to post the thing that I was going to post before I realized that this was going to be my 50th post.

We went to ultimate frisbee yesterday, and it was pouring rain. The grass we soaked and we were slipping and sliding every where! It was fun . . . And cold. We were all drenched. The frisbee was really hard to catch and throw because it was so slippery. It was a great time.

Alright, sorry about the short length of this blog. Have a wonderful day!

Picture Today Becaue I Forgot Yesterday

I was not on top of thins yesterday, I admit. It was a busy day. I woke up and Remembered that we were having company. I decided I would post a blog before they came. So in the rush that I was in, I forgot that I was suppose to put a picture up instead of just some random thing. So, I'll just post a picture today because I forgo yesterday, so . . .
this is my cousin, Bristol. I was baby-sitting her and her little brother, Tucker, Monday night.
Heresa funny story. First, you see the pick up? there is a guy in that pickup. then, do you see the guy next to the pick up? Well, that is my dad, putting in a new mail box. And remember the guy in the pickup? That is the guy that ran over our mail box. the guy in the pick up did get out and help my dad put in the new mail box.

I'd just like to add that I'm sorry about the tiny writing, I couldn't get it bigger. I'm not all that good with computers.

How Many Questions a Day?

The average 4 year old asks 400 questions a day. Have you ever heard that? I think thats crazy. I wonder how many of there questions actually get answered. I mean, I don't ever recall answereing 400 questions a day. Well I guess the 4 year olds wouldn't ask just one person, they'd be asking every body.

Think about all the questions you ask a day: When's lunch? Can I have candy? Are you hungry? when can I go shopping for stuff that I really need/want? were am I? What's your name? What's my name? and so on. You get my point? We ask questions so that we can: know stuff, learn stuff, feel like you know more than you did before you asked the question, and sometimes we just ask them because we're bored, or hungry.

Questions asked to know more stuff: When can I have a friend come over? Where is my hair brush? When can I leave?

Questions asked to learn stuff: Who was the first president? What is a chemical? What is a hair brush?

Questions asked when your bored: (Most of these are questions you already know.) What's my name? where do I live? How old am I?

Questions you ask when your hungry: Whats for lunch? What can I have for a snack? Do you have any chicken in this fridge?

There you have it. How many questions do YOU ask a day?

Peanut Butter Cookies!

Alright, so I am blogging another blog after only ten minutes . . . Is that weird? Well, you probably won't mind because I'm going to give you the most easiest recipe EVER. They are peanut butter cookies and get this, It only has three ingredients in it. Wow, right. So here it is:

Ingredients ~
1 cup peanut butter, of course
                      1 cup sugar
                      And one egg

Preheat oven to 350. Mix all ingredients together. Don't worry about the texture, it is a little bit odd. After mixed, form dough into 1 inch balls and put on a pan. Make the criss cross on the balls of dough with a fork. Put in the oven for 8-10 minutes.

Yeah, it's pretty awesome isn't it. I love making them because there so easy. They won't make that many cookies so double the batch if you want alot. But most of all, enjoy!

Do's and don'ts

Alright, so it is Tuesday! here are some of the things that I have done in the past week or so and will tell you wether you should do it or not. This should be interesting:

DO baby sit your adorable cousins

DON'T stub your toe on the dresser almost every morning when getting out of bed.

DO make peanut butter cookies that really taste awesome!

DON'T jam your side into the counter . . . yeah, that left a bruise.

DO make taco's but switch out the taco shells for tortilla chips . . . Mmmh Mmmh.

Well, that's all I have for you. I'll probably put up another post today. Until then!

challenge

Alright, it is Monday. I personally don't really like Monday. Well, that is if it's during the school year. But right now, it's summer! I actually like Monday during the becuase then you think "huh, it's Monday, and I don't have school!" It's awesome.

Alright, so I guess I'm suppose to challenge you guys with something. Don't worry, I'll do it too. And if you don't want to do it, thats fine.

So here it is: I challenge you to try something you have never done before. It could be ANYTHING! Do what I did when I was about ten, I tried a peanut butter and pickle sandwich. Yeah, my mom finally talked me into it. You could try riding your bike down a really steep hill. I wouldn't reckomend doing that but you know, do whatever you want to. do something that you would never ever even think about doing. Go ahead. just try it.

Tell me what you did in a comment if you'd like, I'd love to now!

Bible verse

Good morning! And it is a beautiful one, too. The sun is shining and the wind is slightly blowing. Ahhh, summer. Today is Sunday so I get to share a bible verse with you guys.

The bible verse comes from Matthew 6:24

[Jesus said] No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one
and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise
the other. You cannot serve God and Money.

So there you have it. Have a wonderful Sunday!

Ps. I'd like to give a special shout out to my cousin, Bristol who is now three today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

I'm am so back!

Alright, I admit to it, I lied. I will not be starting my blog again when school starts, I'm starting my blog again right now!

Why? All because of one of my obsession. It is two words . . .  Ally Carter. Yes, my obsession is a person . . . and her books. Who is Ally Carter? Ally Carter is just the most AMAZING writter ever! She is the one that got me to LOVE writing in the first place. We sort of have the same way of writing. I have no way of explaining it to you so I guess I'll just say that Ally Carter is awesome.

So, I've had a few idea's for my blog. I'm going to do different weekly things. Sunday I'm going to write a bible verse because, well, it's Sunday.

Monday I'm going to do a weekly challenge. I will be challenging you to different things. You do not have to do them, I will not force you to. (Or will I? just kidding).

Tuesday I'm going to do a picture. It could be anything! Hopefully I won't end up having to do nails again. I havn't painted them in weeks anyway.

I think Wenesday will be suggestion day. I will be suggesting you not to do (or to do) some of the things that I had done in the past few days. Oh, you'll get a kick out of this!

Thursday, I have noooo idea what so ever of what I should do. If any suggestions, leave a comment. Until I come up with some thing, it will just be random.

Friday and Saterday will just be random stuff because I might not get a chance to blog on those days.

Well, hopefully now that I have something to blog about every day I will be on here more often. Don't worry, I might end up putting two blogs up a day because I might just have a thought.

So long

Hi, I just want to let you know I won't be blogging until next year when school starts again. Summer is way to busy! Well, until then, bye.

Friday, May 4, 2012

Long Time No Blog . . . Sorry

Long time no blog . . . sorry 'bout that. It's been a really busy week. And I mean REALLY busy. We had testing Monday and Tuesday. Tuesday we also went to Dickonson and bought a big car. Wenesday, I actually can't remember what we did. Thurday I went to somebodies house and then went to ultimate frisbee. Today we did nothing . . . finally. Tomorrow I hope we aren't doing anything. But then again we might do something.

Have you ever had one of those times where you're just like, yes, relaxation. That's exactly what I'm thinking right now. I'm blogging and watching TV. I love when you can just be lazy.

Well, thats all. Hope you can get one o those "lazy" days.

-Emily

ps. I remember what was on wenesday - Grace's birthday. Sorry I forgot, grace!

We're Getting Grass . . . Finally!

We are finally getting grass! I'm sure that'll look better than gravel and sand. Dad just got it seeded yesterday. And now we are working on the hard part . . .  waiting. It'll at least take all summer to grow. I'm just glad that we will be able to have grass. Hey, don't think that it's weird for me to be blogging about grass, you try living without a grassy lawn! Maybe some of you have before. I don't know. Well, I don't know about you, but I like going bare foot, and grass is way better to step on than gravel.

Hand-me-downs

Hand-me-downs are not that bad. I like getting hand-me-downs because then you don't have to go through the whole I'm-so-sick-of-shopping-for-clothes thing. So thanks Brooke (my older sister) for all the hand-me-downs you've given me!

Thanks Brooke for this shirt (even though it doesn't look nice on me)

And this one (even though it also looks bad on me)

And this dresss (it actually looks nice on me).

And this one, it is my favorite so far.

THANK YOU BROOK FOR THE REST OF THIS AWESOME JAR OF JAW-BREAKERS!!!!
these are some cows that are in the pasture across teh road. They usually don't come down here. Thought I'd show you guys them. I'm sure you're getting confused about what kind of girl I am. I mean, I'm writing about close and cows in the same blog for goodness-sakes! You know, I'm pretty surprised that I got this picture. These are momma's and their little calves. I could have been trampled over! I could have died! Don't you say I'm over-reacting. You don't go in a pen of cows to help your grandpa, come out of that pen of cows, ride home with your dad, who is telling you a story of when he was a kid and got trampled over and not be scared of being, well, you know, TRAMPLED OVER! Well, I still can get close to cows and stuff but that thought is still stuck in the back of my mind, you know. Oops, sorry, cows totally took over the hand-me-downs. Sorry.

Random

Before I give you all the "random" things I'm going to blog about, I'd like to tell why I'm writing about three different things. 1. I havn't blogged in a while and I need to catch up. 2. It would be weird to to write three different blogs in one day. So, those are the reasons why NONE of theses things are in common. And hey, I'm multi-tasking.

First, yesterday my sister had a friend here. My littler sisters went CRAZY about her. I mean, showing off there version of the "tango" crazy. Here's a funny thing that my little sister Allison said that I'll share with you guys:

My mom asks if my sisters friend slept well

Before she can answere, Allison says "Oh, yes she did, I was watching her sleep!"

Everyone laughs

So, now you know never to sleep over at our house unless, well, you want to be watched while your sleeping.

Alright, know I am going to share a blog (For teens) that I personally think is awesome. It is called "Silk and Purple". Check it out.

Next random thing - NAILS!

I love these! I did two colors underneith and put crackle over it.

Well, that's all . . . surprisingly.

Easter . . . At a Rig?

How was your Easter? Mine was . . . unique. It also was awesome! My dad was working so we went to the rig to eat and spend the day with him. It was fun. Let me tell you this, it is really hard to get a plate full of food and then eat . . . on a couch. Which was odd, but fun. We ate, watched a movie, visited, and had a great time! I think it's special to be able to have Easter at a rig. It's an Easter I'll never forget.

Feel free to leave a comment and tell me how your Easter was! I'd love to know.

Minnesota Vikings

Before I start blogging about my title, I am going to tell you that it is only 9:38 (in the morning) and my blogging senses should be back now. Hooray for me!

My favorite football team is the Minnesota Vikings. Why? I have no idea. Maybe because I was born into a Viking lovin' family. Maybe because my dad would be the slightest bit dumbfound if I went for, oh, I don't know, The Packers. Eek! I can't even imagine what his face would be like if I said that! If you don't know, the Packers are the Vikings arch nemesis. So, you can see why that just wouldn't work. Even though the Viking might make better ballet dancer than football players, They're still my favorite team! Just kidding about the whole "ballet dancers" thing. I would never say that about the Vikings!

Don't Blog Late at Night

Don't ever blog late at night. Take it from someone who knows. I just did it last night, and well I forgot a ton of things we did yesterday. Such as: The pet shop (I found the snake I wanted! But mom won't let me get it.), Pizza hut, and curch. Wait, make that three things instead of a ton. But all the things I forgot to mention does tripple what we did yesterday. Wait, no, not tripple, double. It's only 7:30 and I'm stilling blogging oddly? Don't worry, though, I'm sure there's nothing wrong with me, just having an off couple of days (I hope). You know, I have enough math to do in school, should I really have to do it in real life? I think not! Just kidding. Well, you just will have to hang in there for a couple of blogs and then I should be back on track (I hope).

Busy Day

Today was one of those days where your gone all day and your busy. We left our house today to go to gymnastics. After gymnastics, we went to ultimate frisbee. After ultimate frisbee, we went to my aunts house. After going to my aunts house, we FINALLY went home.

Gymnastics went good. We didn't do actually "gymnastics", we did "tag". "Tag" is fun to play, expecially when theres a lot of people playing. Then it's hard to tell who's it and who's not.

Frisbee is fun. I went not knowing how to play, and left a pro (if "pro" is somehow being able to through a frisbee without being laughed at, then yes, I was a "pro").

My aunts house was nice and relaxing (not to mention air conditioned) after ultimate frisbee.

Home was three words: re-lie-ving. I guess technically, thier three "syllables", but you know what I mean.

Softball Has its Ups and Downs

Softball has its ups and downs (but mostly ups). Here are some examples:

UP. Playing the game is a lot of fun.

DOWN. You don't get to chose what the weathers like when your playing the game.

UP. You get to have great team mates.

DOWN. Sometimes, when trying to catch a pop fly, You and your team mates crash into each other.
               And that, my friend, hurts.

UP.  You get to pitch.

DOWN. The day after you practice pitching (like today), your arm is really, really soar.

UP. You get to throw a ball as hard as you want.

DOWN. Sometimes, when trying to catch those balls, they hit you in the head . . . hard.

Up. If you get a good pitcher while batting, you can hit the ball.

DOWN. If you "don't" get a good pitcher, "they" hit "you" on the head, leg, knee, stomach, arm,
               elbow, ect.

So those are my ups and downs of softball. The downs are just what happen and they are part of the game.  You know what they say "No pain, no gain" or is it game? Oh, I don't know!

Pitching For Softball

In softball last year, I was the pitcher. It was so much fun and I loved it! So now this year, I want to be better at it. So I went outside with a ball and glove and pitched at a big ol' pile of dirt. I got tired of the whole Pitch the ball, get the ball, and then walk back routine. I mean, it gets old after a while, wouldn't you think so? So I got an idea. I took a bunch of dirt clumps and put them in a pile. Then I just pitched those. It was awesome, and a lot more fun to watch. It's like they explode or something because, well, they brake. So instead of a "biong" theres a "crash", which, in my opinion, is way more cool. Sorry if im weirding you out with my whole I~love~to~watch-dirt-explode thing. So, I guess that's it.

Nails

I have never been the kind of girl to paint her nails. That is, of course, until now. Ever since I got that crackle nail, they've been painted. Although, it's really starting to creep me out! I don't paint my nails! Well, I guess now I do, but I never did before! It's like that crackle nail brain washed me. Sorry, I'm over reacting. Anyway, me and my friend did our nails on Saturday and decided to go crazy and do them different colors. It was fun!

Translating My Little Sisters Talking

Ok, so something I thought that would be funny for you guys to read is a translation of my little sister, Lydia. She is only three years old and still at that speaking stage where only family can understand her. So, here I go.

I wunt suing ta eat, eminy!

Translation: I want something to eat, emily!

I wove you mommy (thats an easy one so no translation, sorry)

And den, an an an den, I...I...um wen to...um..a...dat ing were...um...um...you know wat I saying?

First things first, I have no idea what to tell you on this "story", but I hear them ALOT!

Here's how she says all of her sisters names: Book (Brooke) Eminy (Emily) Gacie (Grace) Ophia (Sophia) and Awison (Allison)

Here are just some funny mispronounced words she says that are so cute: buzgetti (speggeti) fwog (frog) op it (stop it) its a witter!! (its a spider!!) I want my oodle bear ( I want my doodle bear).

Well, thats all!
This is my little sisters drawing that she gave to me! How cut is this!
This is the little artist, Lydia. She looks so sweet and inisant but you have no idea how long it took to get this picture, and she's not even looking at the camera! Here is why: she was mad because my others sister was watching and she insisted that she had to close her eyes. So she watched her while I took the picture to make sure she wasn't watching!

Something Funny

This, this is not your averages sign to be found on a stage door at a school. Although, it is very funny! I took a picture of it at a speech meet, good thing I did, because now I can show you. I just "thought" it was cool.

Don't Do What I Just Did!

Don't do what I just did, EVER! We live in a double wide trailor house (it's way nicer than it sounds) and we store some stuff underneith the house. I was trying to find some golf clubs and, of course, they had to be underneath our house! Why, I meam, seriously, why! My sister would not go under so I had to do it. Never do it if you are 1. clausterphobic 2. hate dust 3. hate any kind of bugs and 3. don't mind getting dirty but still don't want to be covered in dust! Take my word for it and DON'T CRAWL UNDER A HOUSE!!!

Lose stuff?

Do you ever lose something? Then, after you lose it, you find it in a place you never would have even looked in? I do that ALL the time! For example:

The other day, I lost my guitar music and started looking around frantically for it. By frantically I mean tearing my closet apart. So finally I gave up. A few days later I was putting close away and opened up a drawer and guess what was in there, MY GUITAR MUSIC! I was glad I found it and every thing but seriously? In a drawer?

Another time, I was looking for my book and couldn't find it and started freaking out (it was a really good book). I did that whole "tearing my room apart" thing again and still couldn't find it. finally I gave up... again. About an hour later I found it under the couch. Really... the couch? Sometimes I really surprise myself.

So I started thinking, maybe the next time I look for things, I should look in the places I would never even guess they would be. Such as, in the bathroom cupboards, in the refridgerator, or in the attic (even thought I don't have an attic). So, the next time you lose something, don't just give up, look in the unknown.

Good times

Heres is me and some good friends on my first speech meet (I'm not in speech anymore) Ah, good memories.
Left to right: Seirra, me, and Andrina.

Here is another one, (I have a ton of pictures but I won't show them all to you!)
Well, except for my sisters head in the backround, it's a pretty descent pictur! I was shocked that we even got one without tongues, crazy eyes, bunny ears, fake hair pulling, etc.

Those were some good times. I even curled my hair! I never curl my hair! (ok, maybe once in a while)

iritated?

Do you ever get really iritated? Well, I do. I get iritated about a lot of stuff. Sometimes I even get iritated by this blog (I'm not very good with computers!).  Some times I get iritated with myself. For example : A long time ago my older sister (who was being very sneaky at the moment) decided to ask me to hold a pen and this is the exact words she said " Hey Emily, will you hold this pen? Be careful, it's leaking ink". Well, you know what? I took it! What was I thinking! I mean, she even told me that it was leaking ink. Neadless to say, my hand was stained with ink for a while.

So, that was my idea of a time I really iritated myself, because, well, you know, the whole stain in my hand for a week thing. Well, hope you enjoyed my thought.

I Love the Country

I apsolutly love the country. It's just so beautiful. we live around a bunch of hills. I would have pictures, but the computer decided that I shouldn't have picture, thanks alot! Anyway, back to the country. You'll have to use your imagination and "think" about this. so we hae a hill behind our house, in fron of our house across the rode, a hill on the right side of the house if your facing north, and a side hill on the left that ends up going to the top of the hill on the side of the house, if that makes any sence. If you go up any of these hills, it feels like you can see the world! but something really cool is if you go on top of the hill behind our house, you can see the rode twisting and curving, it is like looking at a painting. I love it in the Winter when it frosts over night and then the trees have a glaze of frost over all their branches. And down here, (we live in a valley type thing so yes, its "down here) we have a lot of tree's covering some of the hills. So can you kind of see why I like the country?

Butter, Milk, and Cream

Our family could NOT survive withought butter, milk, and cream(thanks to my dads part of the family). We drink milk at every meal, and I mean that. We go through 8 gallons of milk a week! Thats more a jusg of milk a day! Butter? Yeah, maybe we eat that a little less, but it's in a lot of food we eat. Last is cream, we were talking about it at super the other night when we were eating our vegetebles (with cream on them) and we decided that we couldn't ever, EVER, be able to survive without it! Cream, my friends, is how you get kids to eat corn, green beans, and peas. So, thats all. Butter, milk, and cream are not just a thought it's a dreamy thought.

Test Your Eyes

I got this "Test Your Eyes" idea from my mind, amazing, right! First in this list of "m"s find two N's. If you can do this, your good.

                                                 mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
                                                 mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmnmmmmmmmmn
                                                 mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
                                                 mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Did you get them? If youd did, good job! If not, oh well. Know try this one, find a j:

                                            iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
                                            iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
                                            iiiiiiiijiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
                                            iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

Actually I think the i's are easier than the m's. If you can do both of these, you have good eyes. For today consider myself a "Thoughtful Eye Doctor".

Speech meet

Alright, so maybe I havn't been blogging about "thoughts" but I mean really, who can really blog constantly about "thoughts" when theres so much going on in there life? Right? My last speech meet was fun! But, my speech's didn't go to well. I did horrible on my serious speech, wonderful (I think) on my humerous speech, and then for the second round, I mixed up time and and missed it for my humerous. I was so upset about it. But I'm over it now. Anyway, it was so fun to hang out for a while. While waiting for rewards, we go so board, we started roaming all over the school. We even bought snacks for no reason at all, I mean I wasn't even hungry! Sorry, no pictures, forgot my camer. Oops! Well maybe I'll get a thought up on here in a while.

Fun days are fun!!! Like today. We had some homeschooled friends out today and it was so fun. I really like having friends that are homeschooled like me. We hung out for a bit, had lunch, and then went on a hike. There mom said it was time to go at 2:00 but they left at 5:00. I did see that coming, though. It was so much fun. Ok, so what if I say it was fun too much, it was. I meen seriously, whens somethings fun, it's fun. Well, just a thought.

Out at a Rig

My dad works in the oil field. It's pretty cool because he's the rig manage. He works two weeks on and two weeks off. Even though he has to stay out on the rig the whole two weeks, we still get to go out and see him.  And that my friend......is AWESOME!!!! When my dad wasn't the rig manager, we weren't able to go out to the rig. Oh, and you might want to know that my dad stays in a shack and we go in there, not actually ON the rig. Well, I guess we did get to go on the rig once, it was pretty cool. I had to wear a hard hat. It was so heavy I felt like I was going to fall over! But that wasn't going to keep me away from having a grand tour of the rig (yeah, thats what my little sisters called it, the "Grand Tour"). It was really, and I mean  REALLY loud. The one scary part was when we went up this ladder and onto this plat-form-thingy-ma-bob (I don't know how to speak "rig") and it wasn't exactly what you would call completely covered. There was a whole bunch of cracks and I could see water/mud rushing under us. SCARY.  And then we went up really long stairs and up to this really-big-place-where-they-grab-the-pipe-thingy-ma-jag which I beleive is called the "floor". I know I should know this better, I mean seriously, simple names like "floor" should be easy to remember! I'll work on it though. I'm pretty sure I got the "floor" thing figured out, because, well, I've typed it about, I'd say 6 times. No, I'm not going to count. Anyway, I love my dads job. This is just a rig-sized-thought-thingy-ma-jig!!!

My First Speech Meet

Ok, so I'm finally blogging about my first speech meet. It was FUN!
Here I am with a third place ribbon! I won it for my seious speech, which I'll admit still need work. But, a ribbon is a ribbon, and I was excited.
Alright, I'll admit, I. was. shocked. I mean first place! I never would've guessed! It was for my humerous speech. SHOCKED!!!

Here is me and too of my best friends.(notice the head in the back round? yeah thats my sister who felt left out, HI Brooke!) We were on our way back from the speech meet. I had my hair fixed and everything.....it was perfect.

So that was my VERY busy Saturday, but it was also VERY fun Saturday! Ok, so what if this isn't axactly a "thought" . But hosestly, not every thing is going to be a thought. I have to mix it up once in a while! Right?

Sweat shirts

Sweat shirts are warm and soft. I love being warm. So does my sister, Brooke. We actually have something in common! Well, I guess we have alot in common. Oh, never mind! Anyway, as I was saying, I wear sweat shirts all the time, even when I'm not cold. The thought came to me when I was talking to my mom and told her to remind me to bring a sweat shirt to my speach meet tomarrow. Right up until then I had never noticed that I'm never not wearing one. Ok, Maybe your just wasting your time reading this being that this is totally meaningless to probably every body that reads this. So, SORRY! Well, I guess I'm just a thoughtful person.

BIG Words!!

I like and I also dislike big words. I like to confuse people with big words. But, I don't like to be confused by big words said by other people. I like the way big words roll of my tongue. I don't like when I try to be smart with them, and then I end up pronouncing them wrong. I like learning new words for fun. I don't like "having" to learn big words.

Big words that aren't that big but are fun to say:
                                                                             Pathetic
                                                                             dramatic
                                                                             carbon dioxide
                                                                             climatic
                                                                              poodle

Big words that I like but get confused by half the time:
                                                                                       chrysanthemum
                                                                                       kemalataturk
                                                                                       lamentation
                                                                                       popocatepetl

I don't even know what half the things in my list are, I just was paging threw the dictionary and found them. The only word I know in that list is chrysanthemum. It is a flower, but I'm sure you know that. This is a very BIG thought.

I wait all summer(because it is at the end of summer) just to go to camp. It is awesome. Anyway, Summer will be fun! This is an AWESOME thought.

Grandpa's Fudge

This is my Great-Grandpa Alfred's famous fudge. It is AMAZING!

This is the pan he made the fudge in when he was about my age. You see the lines that go across it? They are creases so that when you poor the fudge in there, let it cool, and finally take it out, there are creases in fudge that guide you on were to cut it. Perfect squares every time!

I'd like to share with you a couple of things about my great-grandpa. He was a great man. He passed away two years ago. It was very sad, but all the memories of him are still with me. He was my dad's grandpa and my grandma's dad.

I'll never forget the Story my mom told me about how he met his wife, Cari. To me this story is like a fairie tale, read and you will see why. When they met each other, Cari's dad did not aprove, and told him to go away. They kept in touch through letters for quite sometime until Alfred decided that he would go to her house and ask her to marry him. Yet her dad still did not aprove and told her if she was going to mary him, she had to go and never come back. She did. I still remember mom saying that they went every where with each other and rarely were ever apart.

Alright, so how about I tell you some memories of when we would go to his house. My mom would call and tell my great -grandpa that we were coming. He would tell her to be sure to go to the store and pick up chocolate milk, and of course she did because no one can ever say no to the man. So after we got the chocolate milk, we would go to his house and he would already have a batch of fresh waffles baked. Mmm, they were good. As we ate the waffles, he would make his famous fudge, our favorite thing EVER!!!

I'm shure you wouldn't mind if I told you the story behind the fudge, would you? Well, When he was about my age, He made it and sold it to his family for a penny. Yes, only a penny! Any way, when he saved up enough money, he would go buy himself a pair of overals. Thats right, HE saved up for his OWN overals. I think that's really cool.

So that's my great-grandpa. It might seem like just a story to you, but to me it's a memory that I will never forget and it means alot to me. My great-grandpa was one of my favorite people to visit. I loved his stories, his waffles, and most of all the memory of that amazing fudge.

Thank yous:

I'd like to thank my mom for telling me the story of how my great grandpa met his wife

I'd like to thank my grandma for making the fudge and lettingme take a picture of it

Last, I'd like to thank my Great-Grandpa Alfred for all the great memories.

This isn't just a thought, It is a wonderful memory that I won't ever forget.

You Want To Know a Trick?

You want to know a trick? Well, have you ever said something really, and I mean REALLY, stupid? Before you say no, and try to hide that you really do, hear me out. You don't have to be ashamed, just listen to a conversation I had with someone the other day......

"What I said" Says me. (you didn't think I would tell what I said, did you?)
  "What?" Says the confused person.
   "Hm?" Says me.
"What did you say?"  Says the confused person.
    "Nothing, why?" Says me.
"You said something"Says the VERY confused person.
"No I didn't. Did you?" says me, In my "inisant" voice.
"No I didn't. I'm confused!" Says confused person.
"Well, I didn't say anything." Says me, using my VERY inasint voice.
"Just forget it." Says the confused person wondering what just happened!

There you have it! you should try it, it works very well when you say something and want to take it back. You just have to be sure the conversation is long enough so he/she forgets EXACTLY what you said. Try it. This isn't "Just" a thought. It is a "important" thought for those who get embarassed for silly little things.

Guess WHAT!

Ok, let me start out with the fact that I have 5 SISTERS, not BROTHERS, SISTERS. My mom is expecting so we are excited for that.  So she went for an ultra sound and well, how do i say this, she kind of found it that it was, well......................a BOY! I was totally SHOCKED! I mean a boy, how different will that be? I guess I'v always wanted a brother, but never expected to get one. I'm so shocked that I can bearly contain myself! Well this isn't really a thought it is just an outragous out burst of mine, but oh well, it's good to have a break from a thought, right?

Summer vs Winter

Summer is fun. Winter is cold. Summer, I have softball. Winter, I have school. Summer, I have camp. Winter, I have School. Summer, I have theater camp. Winter, I have school. See where I'm going with this? Take a guess............................................yep Summer wins! You'v just played a game of, "Guess Which One". Just kidding, it was just a thought.

speech...............FUN

Speech is so much fun. I am doing two different speaches, a humerous one and a serious one. I like both of them but the humerous one is more fun to do, because, well, you know, it's "humerous". Our first speech meet is the 11th. CAN' T WAIT. It will be awesome being that this is my first meet EVER! My humerous speech is about a girl who is taking driving lessons and her mom is teaching her (which she doesn't like). And my serious one is about a couple that is driving home and "alomost" gets in a car accident, but when they reach home, they realize that they are ghosts. Creepy, right. So, I am very excited because it is SO much fun! That's all.

You could say that I am a shopaholic, but I'm not, It's just when I get the chance to shop I shop alot. Usually it's not too expensive stuff, a lot of times I buy stuff on sale, I LOVE sales!!! Well that's all!

What Will I Be When I Grow Up?

Have you ever wondered(if you are not a grown up) what you will be when you grow up? Well, I think I know, but it seems like from the looks of it, you never turn out being what you want to be, but end up doing something you love. Say you want to be a lawyer or someone important and rich, but then things go backwards and you are living on a farm in the beautiful, and I mean BEAUTIFUL country, which I personly like better than being cooped up in an office all day. Anyway, so you live in the country and you love it and wondered how you could have ever wanted to live in the city with all the busyness. Also, it could be the other way around too, where you live in the city and wonder why you wanted to live in the country because nothing goes on that is "exciting" enough for you. So I guess that was my thought for today. I thought about it when I was riding in the car passing the beautiful country side and wondering if I wanted to live in the country or not. So, I guess that's all for today.

Can't remember?

Have you ever thought of something very important or really funny? Then, when your going to tell someone about it, what do you know, you forget! I forget all the time! I had something really funny to put up on my blog today and now I can't remember. Ugh, please, please tell me I'm not the only person that does that. Anyone? Well, maybe later I'll remember what I was going to blog about, but you never know.

First thought.......how many thoughts can a person have?

So, my first thought..........well how many thoughts can a person have? I mean, think about it. Thoughts, thoughts, thoughts, it's all we do all day when were not talking, right? Think about this really hard, as hard as you possibly can. See...................... your thinking!! Thoughts can pass your mind and you won't even notice, how weird is that? So, why not write a blog about thinking. It's the perfect thing! So when you are done reading this, try to "think" about thinking. Have you ever heard the saying "Think Before You Say", I'm sure you have. Any way, that means thinking is just as important as saying. See where I'm coming from? If not, sorry I even brought the subject up, it was just a thought.

About Me

Hi, my name is Emily. I am 13 years old. I live in a family of eight and yes, it is crazy. It's also fun at the same time. Ok, so something you might like to know about me is that I am homeschooled. I love to homeschool because I am usually finished with school before lunch! It's awesome.

I named my blog "Just Thoughtful" because this blog is mainly going to be my thoughts. There probably will be a lot of random stuff in this blog, and yet i hope you find at least the slightest bit of interest in reading my blog. So hope you enjoy!
